About me

Hi Coaches! I'm Brody Stewart and I'm a Center Back and the Team Captain for Queen City Mutiny FC's U17 MLS Next team based out of Charlotte, NC. I have a strong training and work ethic which shows up on the pitch and in the classroom and I believe that I can excel at both on the college level while being a valuable team player. In MLS Next and high school, I play as a center back because of my size, strength, speed, physicality, leadership and tactics. I've taken 75% Honors/AP classes in high school so far while maintaining a 4.4 weighted GPA (3.8 unweighted) and will be taking 100% AP/DE/Honors classes my senior year (business focus). In the past, I've been a versatile midfielder with great vision, physicality, passing and shooting abilities (both feet) who played as an attacking mid/right mid and right wing for my previous clubs. On the SC U17 ODP team, I played back at defensive mid where my defense, physicality, ball handling, vision and passing make me perfectly suited to control the midfield, maintain possession and break defensive lines. Most importantly, I always put the team first so I’m open to playing anywhere a coach or team needs me! I look forward hearing from any coaches who would like to know a little more about me!
