About me

My name is Marin Schaffer and I am a soccer player. Since the age of 5, I have always had a soccer ball with me - dribbling around the house, hitting shots in my basement, juggling and breaking things to my mom's dismay. My punishments used to be having my soccer ball taken away from me. I live, breath and eat soccer but I am so much more.....I love school and learning. I love my family. I love to be around my friends. I love my dog. I love my teammates and my coaches. I want to be the best each time I practice and play. One thing my dad has always said to me is to always be prepared. I hate going into a situation and not being prepared - it scares me. Pregame warmups, practice sessions, video analysis - I want to know all I can about my opponent and what can make me a better player and teammate. If you take the time to recruit and get to know me, I promise I will give you all that I have. I am very competitive and hate to lose. I learn from my mistakes and want to improve daily. I have a strong soccer IQ and I am a physical, driven player who is smart on the field. I am not a flashy player, but you will see that I play simple, make good decisions and put my team in good situations to succeed. I am a leader and captain on my teams and continue to help my teammates. Academically, I am a straight A student who is in National Junior Honor Society and a member of my school's leadership committee. I look forward to and I am excited for what my future holds - I know the recruiting process will be challenging but I'm up for that challenge. I want to find the college and soccer team that is the best for me. My name is Marin and I look forward to meeting you!
